On 14 November, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) was awarded the prize for the best employers in the category of the Company’s Support to Public Health Promotion and Health Sector by the Employers' Confederation of Latvia (Latvijas Darba devēju konfederācija, LDDK). The award was received by Toms Baumanis, RSU Vice-Rector.
There is scientific proof that creative activities increase psychological well-being and reduce stress, so we invite RSU students and employees to Christmas workshops on December 11 and 12! They will help you to relax from the daily rush and catch the festive spirit with creative activities.

All interested parties are invited to participate in the in-person guest lecture “Psychosocial risk factors at work: prevention of work stress and burnout” on 29 November. The lecture will be led by Professor Eda Merisalu - Professor of the Department of Biosystems Engineering, Institute of Forestry and Engineering Sciences, Estonian University of Life Sciences.
As is tradition, Latvian fraternities and sororities, academic units, senior state officials, officers of the National Armed Forces, and university management gathered at the University of Latvia and walked to the Riga Brethren Cemetery on the morning of 18 November to honour the heroes who gave their lives for Latvia's independence.
On 13 November, representatives of the Latvian National Armed Forces Military Police visited the Rīga Stradiņs University (RSU) Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) as part of events during the week of Latvian Independence Day.
On 22 November, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Social Sciences will host the first national scientific and practical law conference LEX SCRIPTA. The conference will take place at 9C Kuldīgas iela, Riga, and will be an excellent opportunity for law experts, professionals, researchers and students to come together for academic discussions and knowledge exchange.
Those RSU employees who have been awarded the Order of Three Stars, Latvian National Armed Forces Honorary Letters, Ministry of the Interior awards, Ministry of Health Letters of Commendation and Acknowledgement, as well as the Cabinet of Ministers Letters of Commendation in autumn 2023 and this year will be honoured and congratulated on Wednesday, 20 November, at 15.30 in the Senate Hall.
The event will start with an address by the RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons, followed by the presentation of awards.
The traditional staff Christmas event will take place at 15.00 on 19 December in the RSU Great Hall.
