It has been a month since on-site learning resumed. Have you managed to stay on top of all the deadlines and coursework? Are your reminders organised or all over the place? And is your to-do list longer than ever before? Then this event is just for you!

With the presentation Master Your Time, Ms Andra Strautiņa, Career Development Facilitator, will cover such topics as time auditing, scheduling and prioritising tasks, as well as offer practical methods to successfully manage and progress with never-ending to-do lists.

The next RSU Research Breakfast will be held on 5 October and it will feature a discussion about the possible ways to develop autoimmune disease research at Rīga Stradiņš University. Anyone planning or currently conducting a research in the field of autoimmune diseases is welcome to attend the discussion – experienced researchers, budding scientists and doctoral students alike.

Doctoral Student Sandra Rozenštoka: Consultations with Sports Physicians Boost Athletes’ Performance

An athlete isn’t just an active person who trains hard to achieve new records, but also an individual with unique health traits. ‘I am a sports physician, so I examine athletes on a daily basis and advise them on the most appropriate training load plan and examinations in order to prevent health problems from hindering them receiving high achievements,’ says RSU doctoral student and sports physician Sandra Rozenštoka. She defended her doctoral thesis on the relevance of exercise tolerance to the health status of athletes on 5 September.

Experts From Around the World Gather at RSU Conference on Contraception and Abortion

The International Federation of Abortion and Contraception Professionals (FIAPAC) conference Fertility Control in the Hands of Women took place in Riga on 9 and 10 September. Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) had the honour to take part in organising the event and hosting Federation representatives from all over the world: Canada, USA, Mexico, Australia, Nepal, and a number of European countries.
