The first RSU medical resident has successfully completed an Erasmus+ mobility at the prestigious San Raffaele University Hospital in Milan. This mobility was based on a recent Erasmus+ agreement signed by RSU and Vita-Salute San Raffaele University.
RSU Department of Pathology is organising the 11th Meeting of Baltic Association of Neuropathologists (BAN) on Saturday, 26 May. The participants include members of RSU academic staff and guests from London, Berlin, Lund, Vilnius and Klaipeda.

The Lattelecom Rīga Latvian Centenary marathon, held on 20 May had a record number of participants – over 37 thousand runners – and the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) team can pride itself with an all-time record number of runners who reached the finish line – 223 marathon runners.
On 10 and 11 May the Vice-Dean of the RSU Faculty of Medicine Ingus Skadiņš and professor of the RSU Department of Internal Diseases, Oskars Kalējs visited Atlanta, USA where they were shown modern study initiatives. RSU un RTU representatives took part in the annual meeting of the consortium of Vertically-integration projects.
On 9 May at the 15th congress of The European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health - ESC) held in Budapest (Hungary) director of the (RSU) Institute of Public Health at Rīga Stradiņš University, Prof. Gunta Lazdāne was awarded a medal – the Society's highest recognition of achievement.
Strengthening ties between cooperation partners Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and Rīga East University Hospital on Thursday 17 May RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons, Vice-Rector for Health Studies Prof. Guntis Bahs and Vice-Rector for Administration and Development Toms Baumanis, together with the new chairman of the board of the hospital, Imants Paeglītis and board member Kaspars Plūme visited the RSU clinical study centre.
