The elections for the new board of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP) took place on 24 November.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will host RSU Research Week 2023 from 27 to 31 March. The conference will bring together scientists, students, cooperation partners, representatives of public administration and non-governmental organisations, including diaspora organisations.

Visiting professor, neurosurgeon Dr Juha Hernesniemi will give a lecture on “50 years in neurosurgery” on 9 December at 13:00 in the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Great Hall.
Professor Juha Hernesniemi is an internationally recognised specialist in the field of neurosurgery. He has led the neurosurgery department in Helsinki for many years and has practiced in many countries in the world, including Nepal and China. The professor is also the author of many scientific publications and books.

On 23 November, a very important event took place at our university - the Rīga Stradiņs University (RSU) Constitutional Assembly voted on the position of rector and decided in whose hands the leadership of our University would be for the next five years.

Biostatistics encompasses the analysis of data related to living beings and is a fast-growing field with an increasing demand for competitive professionals. The Biostatistics master's programme at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), which has been jointly established with colleagues from Sweden and Estonia, is aimed at training such professionals. The first two-year journey into the world of biostatistics starts in February 2023 and submissions to the programme will be accepted between 5 December to 19 January this year.
