Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has just published the latest issue of the investigative journalism magazine Inquisitio. The magazine was created by students from the Faculty of Communication and is edited by Anda Rožukalne, RSU professor and public media ombudsman.

On the 30th of June, the first of the EIT Health Morning Health Talks of 2022 took place. The topic of this talk was the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on digital health care. During the talk experts Terje Peetso, who is a member of the management board of North Estonia Medical Centre, and Tarja Heponiemi, who is a research professor from the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare shared their experiences. The talk was moderated by the director of the International Department of Riga Stradiņš University Baiba Pētersone.
On 17 June, 20 brave students who started their journey without knowing what was expected from them, graduated from the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Business Incubator. We are proud to say that this year’s graduates proved their determination through the ups and downs of working on an idea. With outstanding presentations, our graduates demonstrated the results of their diligent, four-month-long work to a jury.
Faster, more efficient, and more accurate – this is how the new study process planning system at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) can be summed up. The programme has been implemented by the RSU Academic Affairs Department in cooperation with faculties and other departments at RSU.
Elīna Belecka, Project Manager of the Study Administration Unit, justifies the need for the new planning tool by the increase in the number of students at the University, which is now approaching 10,000. This means that the volume of events is also growing.
On 17 June, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) hosted the conference Legal Aspects of Remote Healthcare Services: German and Baltic States Experience, which brought together around 250 professionals from the fields of law and medicine. Remote services in healthcare have significantly grown in importance in the wake of the pandemic. RSU marks its growing expertise in medical law, a field that brings together legal and healthcare professionals, with this conference.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has achieved its best result so far in this year’s U-Multirank international university rankings – a total of 12 A grades.
In the spring of this year, the Latvian State Police and Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in science and research within the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL).
In the afternoon of 18 May, the Annual General Meeting of Rīga Stradiņš University Alumni Association was held. The aim of the meeting was to review the events of the past year, engage in a discussion about the most important events in the life of RSU graduates and elect the new Board.
From 21 June to 1 July, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will host summer graduations – 1153 Bachelor’s and Master’s study programme graduates from eight faculties, the International Student Department and RSU Liepāja Branch will receive their diplomas. The graduations will take place in person at the RSU Great Hall next to the Inspiration Park, while the graduates’ congratulators are also invited to follow the graduations online on the RSU website.
